This is the shocking moment a Toyota Fortuner slammed into another vehicle at a shopping mall car park in Oriental Mindoro province in the Philippines on 11 July.

Dashcam footage shows the SUV crashing into a sedan that was moving out of a parking space.

Motorist Kev Marasigan who was driving nearby when the incident happened said: 'The Toyota car was traversing along the parking area and was bound for the exit when it collided with the Toyota Vios which was in the process of backing away.

'The driver tried to get away but accidentally hit the steel gate. He managed to escape onto Roxas Drive but then hit the rear of three motorcycles.'

Drivers and riders who sustained injuries were brought to Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital for medical treatment.

The driver was taken to the police station for questioning before charges were filed against him.
