A group of passing drivers helped a motorist who was trapped under a crashed car.

Footage captured by Nick Juntilla shows the man in a green shirt pinned to the ground beneath the black Ford SUV along Langit Road in Manila, the Philippines.

Concerned riders stepped off their motorcycles to assist the hapless victim on September 9.

Another injured pedestrian lying on the asphalt was gently carried away by bystanders from the congested motorway.

CCTV footage released by resident RJ Flores showed the SUV driver speeding along the roadway and striking a motorcycle rider who was resting on his parked vehicle by the roadside.

Another road user sitting on his scooter was also thrown to the pavement by the impact. The car then rammed into a tricycle at the corner of the street.

Nick speculated that the driver may have accidentally hit the accelerator, causing the vehicle to plow into the locals.

The victims were reportedly rushed to a hospital and are now recovering from the incident.
