A tiny baby bat fell off its mother in a busy street in Israel.
The Israeli Bat Sanctuary volunteer was called and rushed over to the rescue.
Baby bats can't keep their body heat and can get hypothermic very quickly, so the volunteer picked up the baby bat and held it in her hands to keep its body temperture.
She stood with her arms up for over half an hour while bat mom was circling around, trying to find the courage to take her baby back. She landed in the volunteer's hand just long enough to check she's healthy and producing milk for the baby, before flying away.
After about 30 minutes, the brave bat mom decided to land in the volunteer's hand and claim her little pup back.
The little pup settled in, grasping its mother, and the reunited couple flew away to live a long happy life.
This successful reunion is very rare and the volunteer is overjoyed by the outcome, celebrating with her friend and daughter.
