A rescue team struggled to pull a huge python from inside the roof of a house in Makassar, Indonesia.

Footage captured in December 2022 by local resident Rovky Octora Samson shows a couple of the team attempting to pull the snake from out of the roof.

After the python was safely secured, it was taken away for release into a more suitable habitat.

On Christmas Day 2022, a remarkable scene played out in the Indonesian city of Makassar. Local resident Rovky Octora Samson captured the moment a rescue team was dispatched to his neighbor's home, responding to reports of a snake on the roof. When they arrived, they found a massive python coiled up on top of the house.

The video shows the rescue team, consisting of local authorities and animal control specialists, carefully approaching the python. They use a long pole with a loop on the end to gently pull the snake down from the roof and onto the ground. Throughout the process, the python remained calm and cooperative, allowing the team to safely remove it from the area.

While it may seem surprising that such a large and potentially dangerous animal was found in a populated area, it is important to remember that pythons are non-venomous and pose little threat to humans when they are handled correctly.
