A container narrowly missed a three-wheeler rider after falling off a cargo truck in southern China.

Terrifying moment filmed in the city of Foshan in Guangdong Province on March 23 shows a container falling directly onto a three-wheeler as it passed by, crushing part of the vehicle.

The rider on the three-wheeler narrowly avoided being hit by the container.

According to reports, the truck's container crashed into the height restriction barrier and fell down.

The injured rider was sent to hospital for treatment and he was not in a life-threatening condition.

3月23日上午，广东佛山桂丹路乐安桥底，一辆厢式大货车转弯时，车厢货柜撞上了限高杆后掉落，径直砸中一辆正在行驶的三轮车。监控画面显示，车厢掉落时路过的三轮车刚好被砸中，三轮车部分车身被压扁，幸运的是驾驶员与掉落的车厢贴身而过，虽然受到了巨大的惊吓，所幸惊险逃过一劫。佛山交警一名工作人员介绍，伤者已被120送医治疗，无生命危险。目前警方已介入该事故调查。
