A welder missing for two days was found dead in a rental house 'after drinking a cocktail of energy drinks.'

Wuttichai Thana, 41, had failed to show up to work two days in a row, prompting his concerned brother Adisak, 42, to visit his room in Chonburi province, Thailand, on April 25.

Adisak requested a spare key from the landlord and was greeted with a foul stench upon opening the door. Inside, he found Wuttichai's bloated corpse in a pool of blood in the bathroom, already decaying due to the tropical heat.

Police officers investigated the scene after receiving a report at 2:30 PM.

They found blood in both the bedroom and the bathroom, where Wuttichai lay slumped and shirtless. In a corner of the apartment sat dozens of empty Pharyanak herbal drink bottles.

The formula contained a cocktail of herbal extracts such as black galingale, safflower, cinnamon, Indian gooseberry, licorice, and guarana, according to the manufacturer's website.

Adisak said: 'My brother was an herbal drink junkie able to consume around seven to eight bottles of the beverage per day.

'I found it concerning. But he did not have any underlying medical conditions, which was a requirement for his work. Maybe the extreme heat also contributed to his death.'

Ake, a resident and motorcycle mechanic, said he had been smelling a foul stench coming from the room before the body was discovered.

Investigations are underway to find Wuttichai's cause of death.
