A group of seven diners made headlines after they devoured almost 300 crabs, over 80 bowls of mango sago desserts, and dozens of boxes of durian, along with countless servings of salmon and shrimp in just four hours at a buffet in eastern China.

The video was filmed in Qingdao City in Shandong Province on May 3.

According to reports, the feast started at 5:00 pm and lasted until 9:30 pm when the restaurant closed for the day.

Mr Zhang, one of the diners, said they all have hearty appetites and usually choose buffets when dining together, but they never waste food.

Remarkably, the restaurant didn't mind the large volume of food consumed by the group.

Mr Zhang explained that they had spent less than 200 yuan (£23) per person and were able to finish everything they had taken from the buffet.
