Nose Ring in McDonald’s Meal

By Shannine O’Neill

**EXCLUSIVE**

THIS BOY went viral after he posted a video online showing how he found an intact nose ring in a McDonald’s Chicken Select and nearly ATE IT after biting into it.

Content creator Mac Reece (16) from Plymouth, England tucked into a £4.99 chicken Select box from McDonald’s, only to find a nose ring inside.

Mac visited the Tavistock Road McDonald’s restaurant chain and ordered a large Chicken Selects and Fries Meal to take away.

After excitedly digging into one of the Chicken Selects, Mac felt something hard as he bit into the chicken strip from the infamous American food chain.

Pulling away, Mac was able to discover that he had actually bitten into an intact nose ring lodged into the centre of the Chicken Select.

Mac was absolutely disgusted by the sight of the nose ring that he had unknowingly bitten into moments before, making him even feel physically sick at the thought.

Being put off completely from eating any more, Mac threw the rest of the meal into the nearest bin.

Mac thought about going back into the restaurant and complaining about what he had found, but he decided against it in the end as he believed nothing would come from it anyway.

“I felt something hard as I bit into the chicken, I pulled the pieces apart and there I saw the nose ring,” he said.

“I felt sick, it completely put me off eating.

“I didn’t end up reporting the incident because I didn't think it would get very far.

“I didn’t know how to go about it either.”

But before he threw the meal away, Mac quickly took a video of the nose ring he nearly consumed and posted it on his TikTok account @.macreece where it has gained over 79M views and 7.8M likes.

“The video I posted went viral,” he said.

“A trend was then created and other creators copied me.

“A few creators made clips claiming to accidentally drop the nose ring into the food.

“People used my video to try and get compensation from McDonalds and wrote reviews about it on TripAdvisor.

“I didn’t end up reporting the incident because I didn’t think it would get very far as people were already filing reports using my clip.”

The incident has left Mac feeling sickened and overly cautious with everything he eats now and has not been back to a McDonald’s chain since.

“I’m now very cautious about what I'm eating,” he said.

“I always like to double check my food before I eat it now.”
