A cobra rescued from a railway station in south India spat up a live baby squirrel which it had just eaten, with the little kit being returned to its mother.

The incident took place in Thenkasi railway station, Tamil Nadu on June 21st.

A snake rescuer can be seen climbing a ladder to retrieve the cobra, which was still trying to swallow the squirrel kit.

After it regurgitated the baby squirrel, the baby was cleaned up and left out near its mother which was watching nearby.

The mother squirrel checked for any danger and took away the baby squirrel at once.

The snake rescuer said, "I have rescued many snakes and when it regurgitates the chicks or frogs or rats they usually die. But this pup was really lucky as it was alive."

In thenkasi railway station a snake climbed the pillars of a roof to reach the squirrel nest. The snake then engulfs the baby squirrel that were in the nest. On seeing this onlookers informed the snake rescuer and the RPF.

The snake rescuer rushed to the spot and he reached the nest by climbing on the ladder. There he saw a snake with a filled tummy and a rope at the end of its mouth. The snake can't able to move as it's prey got struck in the mouth.

The rescuer caught the snake and pulled the rope from the snake mouth. The rope was joined with a baby squirrel and it to came out from the tummy of the snake.

To everyone's suprise the squirrel pup was alive. The mama squirrel surrounded the group of people and jumped here and there in search of their baby.

Then the baby squirrel was left near the mama. The mama checked for any danger and took away the baby squirrel at once.

The snake rescuer said I have rescued many snakes and when it regurgates the chicks or frogs rats will usually die .. But this pup was really lucky as it was alive.
