Footage shows tourists wearing hired traditional costumes at the Wat Arun Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday July 1.

The silk costumes - once worn by Siamese natives from the 14th to the 18th centuries - can be hired from stalls surrounding the religious monument in the heart of the Thai capital along the Chao Phraya River.

They make the perfect accessory for social media selfies at the historic building, which was first envisioned by King Taksin in 1768.

Wat Arun has since become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bangkok, known for its stunning architecture and colorful mosaics.
