This is the dramatic moment a family rushed to stop a rolling car as a man was lying underneath repairing the clutch.

Sarika Raseebud and her relatives were gathered in their garage in Bangkok, Thailand, when her husband stepped out of their white SUV after finding he could not shift gears to move it out of the driveway.

CCTV footage shows the lad lying on the ground beneath the vehicle when it suddenly rolls forward on January 2.

Upon seeing the danger, Sarika and her family rushed to grab the car, pulling it backwards and holding it to prevent the vehicle from crushing him.

Her husband managed to scramble out from under the chassis and quickly engaged the brake.

Sarika recalled that the near miss happened because her partner had forgotten to secure the vehicle before climbing underneath.

She said: 'He was trying to move the car because it was blocking another vehicle from getting through. He forgot to engage the handbrake when he got out and left it in neutral, which caused it to move on its own.

'Luckily, everyone was nearby and rushed in to hold the car still and pull the brake. It was a very close call.'
