This is the amusing moment a shopper found herself being stalked by a curious cat that refused to leave her side.

Kate Rungsinee was shopping for pet food in Bangkok, Thailand, when Wasabi, the hefty Scottish Fold, began trailing her through the store.

Footage shows the hefty tabby following the woman down every aisle, appearing to act as a self-appointed shop assistant on December 30.

When Ms Rungsinee eventually went to the counter to pay for her items, Wasabi was right there with her, perched on the desk and staring her in the face.

She said: 'I didn't really know what the cat wanted, but he just kept following me everywhere inside the shop. Despite that, it was lovely to have a little companion while I did my shopping.'
