Large python slithers onto family's window sill before making a quick escape
A large python slithered into a family's window sill before making a quick escape when it was noticed.
Footage shows the serpent on the edge of the opening while trying to enter the kitchen in Phichit province, Thailand on May 28.
But when resident Inthira Meekwan shouted at it, the nervous creature easily changed its mind and left the property.
Inthira said: ‘I didn't see it properly at first because I was not wearing my glasses. When I zoomed in I realised it was a snake. I was so scared.'
The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
