The town of Jejuri in India's state of Maharashtra turned yellow and orange for the celebration of the Bhandara Festival at Khandoba temple.

At this event, which happens a few times a year on Somvati Amavasya, the "New Moon day", Hindu devotees throw turmeric powder around the streets to worship Khandoba, the deity of family and fertility, and cover themselves in this spice.
