On July 25, 2023, a daring rescue operation took place in Big Sur, California, where a woman and her dog were airlifted to safety from a seaside cliff at Gamboa Point. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Coastal Air Division conducted the dramatic rescue, hoisting the woman and her dog using a helicopter.
Big Sur is known for its stunning coastal scenery, with cliffs along a narrow road between the Santa Lucia Mountains and the Pacific Ocean. The circumstances that led to the woman and her dog becoming stranded on the cliff have not been revealed.
Thanks to the quick and skilled response of the CHP rescuers, both the woman and her dog were successfully brought to safety. As of now, further details surrounding the incident have not been made public.
