A 3-year-old leopard was rescued after falling into a well and getting trapped inside in India.

Video filmed in Maharashtra on July 28, shows a male leopard gripping a pipe with its powerful jaws, its eyes reflecting its terror and confusion. The leopard's desperate plight had local villagers and forest department officials rallying together in a life-saving operation.

Led by Conservator of Forest, Sawantwadi, Shri.S Navkishore Reddy, and a courageous team including Foresters Madan Kshirsagar, Pratap Koli, Forest Guards Appasaheb Rathod, Sagar Bhohane, Prakash Rangire, Mahadev Gejge, Dhananjay Yadav, Padate Bhau, and the Sarpanch of Kavathani village, Ajit Kavthankar, the mission was set in motion.

With the help of local villagers, they sprang into action, displaying the unity of man in the face of nature's challenges.

The gripping visuals document the tense moments when a net was laid over the well and a cage was strategically lowered to entice the trapped leopard.

Miraculously, the animal crept into the cage of its own accord, easing the rescue process and providing a stunning twist to the tale.
