STORYLINE:
A vessel taking more than 1,600 tonnes of frozen prawns from Indonesia arrived Monday at a port in Fuzhou, the capital of east China's Fujian Province.
This is the first batch of exports China received from Indonesia since the two countries agreed to promote the joint construction of the flagship project of "Two Countries, Twin Parks" which aims to build a cooperation platform centered on the international food industry chain and supply chain.
China designated Yuanhong Investment Zone in Fuzhou as the Chinese park, and Indonesian authorities selected the Bintan Industrial Estate, Aviarna Industrial Estate and Batang Industrial Estate collectively as the Indonesian park.
Indonesia is the largest trading partner of Fujian among the members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. Last year, the import and export trade volume between Fujian and Indonesia reached 121.5 billion yuan (about 17 billion U.S. dollars), representing a year-on-year growth of 32.2 percent.
