SOUNDBITE 1 (English): KANISHKA CHANDRAMUKE, Student from India, Ningxia Medical University
"I did have a lot of choices. I was considering Ukraine, Russia, Germany, and Moldova, but I chose China, because it's the best. Everything, the technology, the environment, and the culture is really good in China. And the teachers are really good and have always been accessible."

As one of the 45 universities in China authorized to teach foreign students clinical medicine in English, Ningxia Medical University has enrolled over 600 overseas students since setting up a school of international education, a WHO-recognized medical school, back in 2012.

More than 360 of the students were from India.

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): NISHANTH, Student from India, Ningxia Medical University
"These tools and technology, which they use in university and hospitals made a great impact on my mind. I also learned many skills and management skills like organization, group work, many things I learned here. So I would really like to play that after I go back to my country."

SOUNDBITE 3 (English): KANISHKA CHANDRAMUKE, Student from India, Ningxia Medical University
"Actually, as a medical student, I don't get a lot of spare time, so I usually just sit and study and just get better at my subjects. I'm planning to go to the UK to do my PG (postgraduate studies) after my UG (undergraduate studies) in China. That's my future plan. I want to be a perfect doctor and I want to be a good example to other doctors and my colleagues."
