A horse was rescued after it fell into the septic tank of an under-construction building in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh, on August 20.

Footage shared by Gaurav Mishra of Atal Kamdhenu, the NGO that rescued the horse, shows a team using ropes to haul the animal from out of the pit.

According to Mishra, the horse fell into the tank when it was searching for water.

The rescue operation took around two hours.

A horse which fell into the septic tank of an under construction building was rescued by local volunteers of Atal Kamdhenu organization . The under construction building is on rewa bypass road in Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh . Footage sourced from Gaurav Mishra who is a member of Atal Kamdhenu tells that they got a call from labour working there about the horse , it seems that in search of water this horse fell into this septic tank . I with my other team members after raching there found that horse is making efforts to come out of the water .
We tied thick rope around neck of the horse and pulled it out of the water . It took us around two hours to rescue out the horse
