This is the gruesome moment a large python regurtitated a dead cat while hanging on the ceiling rafters of a shop.

Footage shows the 10ft-long serpent coiled around wooden beams before lowering half its body and spitting out its last meal in Nakhon Sawan, Thailand.

Animal rescue teams later caught the snake and released it into nearby woodland. The cat was cremated at a nearby Buddhist temple.

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
