This shocking footage shows a driver dragging a police officer along while fleeing a routine traffic stop after he had been stopped for committing traffic violations.

The drama unfolded on a street in Brockton, in the U.S. State of Massachusetts when a routine traffic stop took a dangerous turn on the evening of the September 13.

The Massachusetts State Police are currently on a manhunt for the suspect who is seen in dash-cam footage dragging a Trooper during the incident.

The suspect, identified as Derek Lobo, a 31-year-old resident of Brockton, suddenly turned the traffic stop into a violent encounter.

Lobo is now wanted on several serious charges, including Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Trafficking in Fentanyl, among others.

Although the Trooper did sustain minor injuries during the incident, he is expected to recover.
