Trooper First On Scene Aids Seriously Injured Driver
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper was the first to arrive at the scene of a serious crash on Interstate 680 after a good Samaritan reported a single-vehicle accident.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Trooper Thompson from the Canfield Post responded and immediately began assisting the driver, who had sustained serious injuries.
Trooper Thompson provided care and maintained control of the scene until additional emergency responders arrived to continue medical treatment.
Officials said the incident reflects the critical role first responders play in providing calm and lifesaving assistance during chaotic and high-stress situations.
The driver was transported for further medical care. No additional details were released.
