A mother used her own body to stop a runaway three-wheeler that was accidentally launched by her child in southwestern China.

The video was filmed in the city of Bijie in Guizhou Province on September 9.

A boy inadvertently activated the ignition switch of a three-wheeler. The child was then carried away as the vehicle rolled down a slope, seated innocently inside.

Upon witnessing the scene, the boy's mother raced desperately to the three-wheeler's path, using her body to halt its progress.

The vehicle finally came to a halt after a buffered collision with a house door, tipping to one side.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured.
