This is the sweet moment a groom giggled uncontrollably with joy as he married his sweetheart.

Aldren Pedrera, 27, was so happy that he could have a wedding ceremony with his partner of four years, Mona, 26, that he could not hide his excitement inside the Catholic church in Davao del Norte, Philippines, on September 9.

Footage shows Aldren flashing a wide smile while holding hands with Mona and shaking as they exchanged their vows.

The groom trembled even more when he kissed his wife for a picture. Other couples were also present in the mass wedding event sponsored by the local government to help provide a church wedding to lovers who could not afford it.

Aldren said in a message to Mona: ‘I now have a lifetime best friend, girlfriend, enemy, source of strength and weakness, a partner, a lover and a wife.'

In many Filipino families, a church wedding is considered to be a sign of success and prestige, as well as a way to tie the knot in the eyes of God.
