Kind motorcycle rider helps mudskipper fish back into water
This is the touching moment a kind motorcycle rider helped a mudskipper fish back into the water.
Muhd Sufi and his friend Aleya Farishah noticed the amphibious goby in the middle of the motorway in Johor, Malaysia.
Heartwarming footage shows the fish wriggling as it tried to make its way back to the drainage canal on September 6.
Aleya then stepped off the motorcycle and crouched down to capture the creature.
After struggling to grasp the fish, she managed to pick it up, but it slipped from her hand and fell onto the roadside.
She then kicked it into the water with her foot, prompting the fish to leap into the air before plunging into the waterway.
Muhd said: 'The fish might have fallen from someone who was fishing.'
Mudskippers are one of the few fish that can spend more time on land than in water. They are often seen hopping across mudflats during low tide, where they hunt for food and defend their territories.
