"The situation in the region remains unpredictable with severe humanitarian challenges and escalating tensions. The tightened blockade continues. No fuel, food, water, electricity, or any form of aid has entered Gaza since last week. Persistent airstrikes left hundreds of thousands of families devastated on the streets with no shelter or place to go.
In the past 24 hours alone, over 300 Palestinian lives were lost and more than 800 wounded, due to targeting residential buildings. In response, Hamas launched rockets targeting major Israeli cities.
The Israeli army spokesman announced yesterday (Oct. 14), that the army is preparing for a comprehensive and coordinated attack on Gaza from air and sea, with a significant ground offensive in focus."

"Israel Defense Forces announced Sunday morning it killed a senior Hamas commander during an airstrike overnight. In the morning, the IDF also once again warned civilians in northern Gaza to evacuate to the southern part of the strip, announcing a safe corridor for evacuation lasting about three hours."
STANDUP 3 (English): YANG YIRAN, Xinhua correspondent in Cairo
"The Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza remains closed on Sunday. Egyptian authorities are in discussions with Israel, the United States, and Palestinian militant groups to allow aid to flow into Gaza and permit foreigners and wounded Palestinians to cross into Egypt. Convoys of humanitarian aid have been waiting near the crossing for delivery to Gaza."
