Hero firemen abseiled down a building to save a kitten stranded on a ledge in Thailand.

Footage shows a firefighter rappelling down a building of the Sisaket Polytechnic College in Sisaket province after locating and retrieving the trapped stray moggie on September 20.

Upon reaching the ground, he pulled out the gray kitten which he had tucked away inside his uniform. The moggie was reunited with its other siblings which were being kept in a cardboard box.

The rescuers said the kitten belonged to a litter of four, and had fallen on the third floor ledge while trying to climb on a bathroom window. Pupils said it had been stuck there for around three days before the crew carried out the rescue.

Officers fed the starving and dehydrated kitten, which was later adopted by a kind local.
