Several NGOs have warned that there is not enough drinking water to survive in the Gaza Strip, almost a month into the Israeli response to Hamas' October 7 attacks, which has also left more than 9,200 people dead and another 23,500 wounded.

"More than 25 days after the start of the war, extreme limitations to safe and sustained access to water in Gaza continue to threaten the lives of thousands of families," organizations such as Action Against Hunger, the Norwegian Refugee Council, Oxfam, Care and WeWorld denounced Friday.

The NGOs have echoed the estimate presented by the organization Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) which reads that during the second week of the start of the Israeli bombardment the population of the Strip only had access to between 1 and 3 liters of water a day to cover all their needs.

This footage illustrates Gaza residents carrying water tanks with donkeys, filling water buckets with donkeys and using sea water in Gaza Strip.
