This adorable puppy has a severely swollen head that makes it like the popular comic strip character Snoopy after being bitten by a snake that it apparently wanted to play with it.

Phone footage shows the unfortunate beagle apparently regretting its poor decision as it could barely open its eyes from the massive swelling in its yard in Meishan, in Sichuan Province China.

The owner said he was shocked to discover the state of his pet. He said he had noticed the pooch being interested in a snake that lurked around the yard and he tried to keep it away. But its curiosity overcame it as it playfully approached the serpent and wound up getting bitten.

Not too long later, its head swelled up nearly three times its size.

Upon discovering the unwell puppy, the owner rushed it to a local vet to get an injection. Thankfully, he said he had found it in time and the dog was feeling much better hours later.
