A massive water main broke, flooding the streets in southern China.

The video was filmed in Shantou City in Guangdong Province on November 13. The streets were transformed into raging rivers, with water gushing uncontrollably from a well, inundating nearby shops in its path.

The Shantou Water Supply Company promptly responded, identifying the culprit as a major pipeline with a diameter of 1000 millimetres.

The incident led to an emergency response, with repair crews rushing to the scene to mitigate the damage and assist in water removal efforts. Amidst this crisis, parts of Jinping District faced water outages, adding to the residents' woes.

As of 3:00 pm on the same day, the repair work was still underway.
