Residents baffled by council's resurfacing project in Kent, UK

Residents and visitors to a popular coastal park in Kent, UK have been left baffled by a council's miniature re-surfacing project.

Swale Council announced earlier this month via their Facebook page: "Barton’s Point coastal park will be closed from Wednesday 15th to Friday 17th November. This is so resurfacing works can be done to the entrance."

However, many residents were surprised to see the final result: only a tiny section of the popular coastal park in Sheerness had been re-surfaced when many thought the entire pot-holed car park would be completed, given the 3 day closure.

Footage filmed today (November 30) shows the small area of resurfacing - between the existing paved entrance track and the gate to the park's still pot-holed car park.

The park's Boat House Cafe has also been closed all year, due to problems in appointing a new leaseholder.
