African Union views dissolution of Guinea Bissau parliament with 'concern' in Ethiopia

The African Union on Tuesday expressed its "concern" over the dissolution of the Parliament of Guinea Bissau announced by President Umaru Sissoco Embalo, a day after what he described as an "attempted coup d'etat" by some members of the security forces. The organization, which also warned of an increase in violence, condemned in a statement the situation in the country and referred to the clashes at the end of last week between the National Guard and the Army, which resulted in two deaths.
