Chinese woman inserts body hair into dish, demanding triple compensation from restaurant
A woman inserted her body hair into a pot, later demanding triple compensation from a restaurant in eastern China.
The CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Weifang in Shandong Province on January 5.
The restaurant’s owner, Mr Jiang, revealed that the incident occurred around 8:00 pm when the woman and her companion ordered more than 300 yuan (£34) worth of dishes. Complaining of finding hair in the hot pot, she insisted on three times the compensation.
Despite noticing her suspicious behaviour, the staff, opting for a peaceful resolution, refrained from exposing her and rejected her compensation request. Astonishingly, after the act, the women continued to enjoy the hot pot.
In the early hours of January 6, Jiang posted the surveillance video online. Only upon seeing the footage did the woman apologise and request its removal. Jiang, an experienced restaurateur, chose not to escalate the matter but cautioned her against future misconduct, reserving the right to pursue legal action.
Jiang also stated that the used pot had been discarded.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
