Chinese artist makes velvet flower hairpin with pearls using silk and wire
A Chinese artist made a velvet flower hairpin with pearls using silk and wire.
Footage shows Yang Huifei smoothing the silk strands with a brush in her studio in Guangxi, China on December 20.
She pressed the silk onto copper wires and cut them with scissors until fluffy.
Yang then ironed the silk and secured with glue to look like a leaf with its edges trimmed.
She repeated the process to make the petals and put the pieces together until she had red and orange blooms decorated with precious gems.
