A group of 200 villagers united together to clear an 8.5-metre-long icy road in six hours in southern China.

The video was filmed in Miluo City in Hunan Province on January 24.

The village secretary, Xiong Yin, revealed that a snowplough had previously attempted to clear the road, but with limited success, leaving no option but to resort to manual labour.

Despite the small population of less than 400 residents, a remarkable force of 200 villagers came together in a concerted effort to remove the snow and ice.

Working tirelessly for six hours, they successfully cleared the path, ensuring connectivity for their village.

1月24日，湖南汨罗达摩岭村村民铲通了一条8.5公里长的冰雪之路。受冰雪天气影响，达摩岭村进出村道路结冰无法通行。达摩岭村村支书熊尹称，铲雪车曾来过铲雪，但是效果不好，只能通过人工铲雪。全村在村人口不足400人，共组织200名村民铲雪除冰，用6小时把进出村的道路打通。
