The astonishing video shows Russian units purportedly demolishing camouflaged Ukrainian weapons and soldiers with 122-millimetre D-30 howitzers.

The alleged attack took place after Russian soldiers from the Southern Military District received the Ukrainian positions' coordinates in the area of Donetsk, in Donetsk Oblast.

Numerous militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were allegedly killed in the strike that was carried out with 122-millimetre D-30 howitzers on February21.

Following the combat mission, commander 'Mayak' said in a statement: 'I wanted to come here with everyone else because the guys left. I couldn't stay at home.

'It's not so difficult here because faithful friends are always nearby, helping in everything. Everything is overcome easily because you are with the right people.

'We don't keep an exact count of destroyed targets because the work is constant, targets come constantly, and we work on everything.

'But the most memorable target is the enemy self-propelled unit that was moving. We had to work with correction. We worked until the last moment until we hit.

'It was the most difficult target -everyone was waiting for it to be hit in time, to destroy this equipment. Usually, we shoot at targets that are stationary or in covered areas.

'And here it was moving, so it was a little difficult. We're all together. Everyone supports each other. We all worry about each other. If any moment is troubling, we all share it.

'We're all like one family, like brothers. I would like to express heartfelt thanks to everyone who is in the rear and helps us.

'They provide huge support and help, and it's always nice to receive letters and gifts from children. They warm our hearts with all this.

'You read a letter, and you feel a little better, knowing that the children are growing up there and everything is going well for them, they make various discoveries. This is our future. We are here for them.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
