Recently, under the influence of warm and humid air currents, small droplets of water appear on indoor walls, floors, and ceilings, dripping continuously with the slightest touch in Guangdong homes.

Many residents of Guangdong have reported that the "Huinan" phenomenon in 2024 is more severe compared to previous years, with some even needing umbrellas while sleeping. Door couplets outside homes have been soaked, leaking out a red liquid, resembling eerie symbols, creating a frightening atmosphere. Additionally, fingerprint locks on some residents' doors have malfunctioned due to water exposure, rendering them unable to enter their homes. Even potato chips have turned into sponges, absorbing water and becoming soggy. Electrical switches inside homes are also affected by water ingress, causing potential electric shocks with any accidental contact.

"Huinan" is a term used to describe a meteorological phenomenon in southern China, usually occurring in spring when temperatures begin to rise and humidity drastically increases. During "Huinan," the air humidity approaches saturation, resulting in damp conditions everywhere.

According to the Guangdong Meteorological Bureau, the temperature in the province continued to rise on the 5th, with the maximum temperature exceeding 30°C. Meanwhile, the "Huinan" phenomenon intensified further, covering almost the entire province, with relative humidity in Guangzhou ranging from 90% to 99% on that day. However, "Huinan" is expected to end by the 6th. The Guangdong Meteorological Bureau predicts that from the 6th to the 7th, a moderate cold air mass will affect the province, causing temperatures in most cities and counties to drop by 4°C to 6°C, effectively alleviating the "Huinan" phenomenon.
