Egg-sized hailstones pelted down relentlessly, shattering the windscreen and sunroof of a woman's vehicle in eastern China.

The terrifying video was filmed in Yiwu City in Zhejiang Province on March 25.

The woman, who had just picked up her child from school, described the terrifying ordeal lasting less than three minutes, leaving her with no time to react.

It was her first encounter with such extreme weather, and both she and her child were left shaken. Her daughter cowered in fear, thankfully escaping unharmed.
