This is the astonishing moment a bull headbutted an oncoming motorcycle rider in India.

The bovine was being walked down a road when it suddenly appeared to take umbrage to the approaching man.

CCTV cameras captured the farm animal breaking free from its handler and leaping into the face of the man on a scooter.

It knocked him onto the ground and hopped over the vehicle as it charged away in the Mahalaxmi district of Bangalore on March 29.

The victim fell under the wheels of a truck to his right but fortunately, the driver spotted the danger and stopped, preventing a freak tragedy.

The motorcycle rider picked himself up from the crash and appeared to be perplexed by what had unfolded.

He said he was unharmed in the bull attack and straightened the issue out with the owner.
