Attempted ATM theft: criminal case opened in Omsk after explosive incident
On April 17, 2024, in Omsk, Russia, authorities launched a criminal investigation into an attempted theft on an especially large scale after an ATM at a Sberbank branch on Krasnoznamenaya Street was damaged. The incident, which occurred around 8:30 local time, involved an explosive detonation in the ATM room, as depicted in a video circulating online. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the ATM contained over 1.5 million rubles at the time of the explosion.
