Hundred of hungry goats unleashed to clear brush and halt fires
Hundreds of hungry goats were unleashed to prevent wildfires by munching their way through brush plants as the summer heat arrives in California.
Footage shows the 450 farm animals being released into the 100-acre campus so they could munch on shrubbery and brush in Simi Valley on May 16 morning.
They were deployed to trim the vegetation and reduce the risk of wildfires in an eco-friendly approach to managing the fires. The goats will now spend weeks on the site just to munch on grass.
In 2019, the massive wildfire called 'Easy Fire' caused extensive damage of more than 500,000 USD across the site. Critical infrastructure was scorched, flames consumed signs, and the pavilion housing Air Force One narrowly escaped destruction.
