A leopard intruded into a villager's home and fatally killed their dog in northern China.

Video filmed in Hunchun City in Jilin Province on May 22 shows a leopard wandering around a courtyard before pouncing on a dog and gnawing at it incessantly.

According to the villager, the leopard appeared unafraid of humans and had previously chewed on a passing vehicle's side mirror.

The forest police were called in, and they successfully tranquillised the animal before taking it away.

Authorities later confirmed that the leopard had escaped from the Northeast Tiger and Leopard National Park and has since been returned to the park's core area.

村民拍摄的视频显示，一只身上布满花纹的豹子进入了珲春市马川子乡一村民家中，先是在院子里“溜达”，后又趴在地上对着一只狗不停啃咬。
据村民介绍，事发于5月22日早上，豹子将家中的狗咬死，啃食，后来豹子被森林警察麻醉带走。该村民还称，这只豹子看起来不怕人，之前还啃咬了一位过路车辆的后视镜。
经过了解，这只东北豹系从东北虎豹国家公园跑出，目前已被麻醉送回公园核心区内。
