"In a heartwarming display of filial devotion, a baby elephant refused to leave its ailing mother's side as she received treatment from forest department officials and veterinarians in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

The mother elephant, found unconscious in the Marudhamalai foothills due to poor health, was discovered by forest department patrols along with her distraught calf. Despite efforts to revive her, the mother elephant remained unconscious, prompting a swift response from the forest department and veterinary teams.

Led by District Forest Officer Jeyaraj and veterinarian Dr. Sukumar, the teams administered 30 bottles of fluids and nutrients over two days, determined to save the mother elephant's life. The calf, distressed but devoted, remained by its mother's side throughout the treatment, refusing to leave her side even for a moment.

In a remarkable turn of events, the mother elephant finally stood up with the help of a crane, and the calf was reunited with its mother in a heartwarming moment. The forest department continues to monitor the mother's health closely, and the rescue efforts have been praised by Tamil Nadu Forest Department Chief Secretary Supriya Sahu on social media."
