This is the adorable moment a curious wild dog rubbed up against a safari tourist’s car.

Marelize Otto was on holiday in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, in March when she spotted an unusual sight.

Cute footage captured the moment a peculiar wild dog wandered over to a white Toyota and started scraping its face against the vehicle’s registration plate.

As another of the animals watched on, the wild dog then moved its focus to rubbing its face across the wheel rims before wandering off with its friend.

Marelize said: “I have not seen wild dogs do this before. They can be very curious at times and will go closer to a car to investigate.

“I am not sure why the wild dog was rubbing itself against the car. He was rubbing himself for about 30 seconds.

“We are regular visitors to the park and have been going for the past 25 years. We love the park and wildlife and most of our holidays are spent there.”
