This is the terrifying moment an enraged cow attacked a motorcycle rider on a street in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows the livestock owner herding her cattle across the street when one of the cows turned and charged at her upon being struck with a stick in Nakhon Ratchasima province on June 14.

The rampaging farm animal knocked the woman over, then turned its fury toward a passing female motorcyclist and her son.

The cow toppled the two-wheeler as the frightened mother and son escaped into a nearby house. It later calmed down and rejoined the rest of the herd.

The cow owner's daughter, speaking to local media, said the cow had recently given birth around a week ago.

She said: 'My mum usually hits the cows with a stick to keep them from wandering, but this time one of them attacked her.'

The family has decided to sell the mother cow and her calf back to its original owner.
