Pomona PD attempted to make a traffic stop on an Infiniti for traffic violations in their city. The suspect did not stop and sped off from Pomona PD officers and a pursuit ensued. The suspect got onto the westbound 10 Freeway in the Pomona area. Pomona PD canceled the pursuit due to speed, but Pomona PD did have an airship and tracking mode. CHP was able to get in position and get behind the vehicle. The pursuits reach speeds of 100 plus westbound on the 10 Freeway passing the 605 freeway interchange. CHP canceled the pursuit westbound 10 Freeway just before the 710 Freeway due to construction and speeds. The LAPD airship was able to locate the vehicle on S. Clarence Street underneath the 6th Street bridge in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles. LAPD was able to track the suspect hiding in the bushes along the 5 Freeway underneath the 6th Street bridge and guide CHP. CHP was able to take one suspect into custody.
