During his participation in the G7 summit, President Javier Milei held a meeting on Friday with the head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, to discuss his government's economic policies and the goal of freeing the exchange rate trap, a demand also put forward by the IMF.

The meeting took place at the luxurious Borgo Egnazia hotel complex, where the summit of the leaders of the world's most developed countries is being held. Milei spoke alone with the IMF chief about the economic measures his government is implementing.

According to close sources, the meeting was delayed due to delays in the day's schedule of activities, but it went ahead as planned and in a favourable context for Milei, who recently achieved the approval of the Basic Law in the Senate and has seen a reduction in inflation.
