This is the hilarious moment an energetic pet dog knocked over a woman outside a home.

The lively German Shepherd welcomed its owner, Ms Pang, at full speed, causing her to fall over in Huaian, Jiangsu, China, on June 8.

CCTV footage shows the pet keeper walking and stopping upon seeing the charging canine.

She overturned from the impact, landing on the pavement, while the animal continued to run.

When it realised that its owner was lying motionless on the ground and in pain, it froze and circled around her.

Fortunately, she sustained only slight injuries from the comical incident.

Ms Pang said: 'He is usually quite well-behaved, but maybe he was just so excited to see me. I don't blame him for acting that way.'
