This is the astonishing moment an agile monkey was seen climbing a high-rise condo in China as shocked residents watched nearby.

Footage shows the macaque clambering across pipelines as it searches for a balcony to leap onto in the towering residential building in Nanning, Guangxi.

The primate can be seen scaling the yellow tubes near the grilled decks, performing parkour-like moves with brief rests, perching on the bars before continuing its ascent on October 15.

Residents said that monkey sightings have increased in the area this year. There have been reports of them taking items and even barging into homes in search of food.

Building management reminded residents to avoid feeding the monkeys and to keep doors and windows securely closed.
