Father finds snake in front yard as he leaves for school run
A father found a venomous snake in his front yard as he was leaving for the school run.
Sandeep Kumar spotted the sand racer snake slithering on the ground as he was about to step out of his compound to pick up his son, Abhigya Kumar, for school in Bihar, India.
Footage shows the serpent crawling around the area on November 7.
Moments later, it found a small hole in a wall and slipped through it, exiting the compound.
Sand racers are mildly venomous snakes. They are fast-moving and slender, feeding mainly on lizards, small rodents, and bird chicks.
Experts said the species is generally non-aggressive and rarely shows signs of hostility.
